Yahel takes Infected Mushroom‘s work to a different realm, using a more progressive build and incorporating a deeper, more emotional sense to this track. The outcome is a tribal/progressive trance tune, with all the soft, fluffy synth work, the searing leads and of course, Berry’s guitar, guaranteed to move some asses on the floor. Violet Vision‘s rendition of Deeply Disturbed (T3) comes from a totally different viewpoint of music. With an acid edge and a big beat approach, Violet Vision take the original sound and manipulate them in subtle, gentle twitches, creating a searing, sweeping groovy track, to be remembered. The fourth track (T4) in this installation is the original one. Enough was said about it. Suffice to say it is still one of the best tracks heard lately, made to rock the floor, and the best proof that rock and trance can indeed co-exist. The final track, Drop Out, is a taste of what Infected Mushroom have in store for the fans, in terms of their much debated “New Style” music. A quirky Intro, with distorted sounds, resonating between analog and digital, this track is more freestyle electronica than your old Infected trance, and pretty good at that. Featuring vocals by Infected‘s own Amit Duvdevani, this might be the first hint of the change undergoing in mushi kingdom.

Day Dreaming by Talamasca

“Everybody, everybody has the potentials of genius. The human brain is far more

powerfull than a computer
and than a supercomputer.
It’s potential is still not known
but everytime we put a boundary on it
the brain bashes through that
boundary
and goes further and
further,
so brilliance is a potential
to everybody. And the nice thing about
day dreaming,
is that day dreaming wouldn’t has been considered
a sign of incompetence,
a sign of
a bad academic potential,
we now realized that day dreaming
can break you
or make you
in a great genius that did something different,
they “daydream” big. The left side of the brain
is dominant,
in the following kinds of skills:
words, numbers, lines, logic and analysis.
The right side tents to be dominant
in rhythm, color, spacial awareness, imaginary and daydreaming.
And you must know for example,
creativity is not as nearly everyone in the world thinks
but, creativity involves logic,
it involves analysis,
it involves words, songs.
So the conclusion is that both sides
of the brain on the cortex
need to be used in an harmony with each other,
then you get an explosion of

Creativity.

“Being in the studio is like playing a PlayStation game, where you have to pass a level each time,” says Duvdev. “That’s our goal every time we do a session. The energy that you get at the parties makes you want to go right back into the studio and create new tracks. You need to be in the studio and do the shows; they’re both connected to each other. Our mission now is the same as when we started out, and that’s to get Infected Mushroom’s music out to more people.”

They have pioneered their own sub genre of electronic music and are renowned for being the sonic innovators of crafting hypnotic arrangements, complex layered melodies and synthetic rhythms known as Psychedelic Trance, leaving behind all their dying trance cousins in the mainstream.

Vicious Delicious released in 2007,  2009 offering The Legend Of The Black Shawarma,  popular track Smashing The Opponent,  featured guest vocals by Korn lead singer, Jonathan Davis,  collaborations with big rock legend Ray Manzarek (The Doors) and Perry Farrell (Jane’s Addiction)

On their influences: They enjoy groups like Primus, Metallica, Korn, Rage Against the Machine, and Pendulum. Skrillex, Astrix, Eitan ‘Fatali’ Carmi, and Randy Seidman are their contemporaries they respect the most.

“Psytrance is always evolving. Now, many of the huge psy artists who were instrumental in building our scene are moving toward more of a progressive sound; they are adapting to the masses. Maybe some will follow us down a path of versatility. We are making breaks, dubstep, rock, and trance, all heavily influenced by our psy roots. The future belongs to us all, and its limitations are only as great as we make them.”
